I sent the girls to Europe;<br \/>\nI dowered them when married.<br \/>\nI gave the boys money to start in business.<br \/>\nThey were strong children, promising as apples<br \/>\nBefore the bitten places show.<br \/>\nBut John fled the country in disgrace.<br \/>\nJenny died in child-birth\u2014<br \/>\nI sat under my cedar tree.<br \/>\nHarry killed himself after a debauch, Susan was divorced\u2014<br \/>\nI sat under my cedar tree.
